We had a very successful opening of the route 52 from Kenilworth to Warwick University on Friday.
:
Here are a few more photos taken on the day If you haven't yet ridden the route do go and have a look it really is a very well built and attractive route. You can also ride out to Berkswell on the Greenway, just don't take the right turn for the university! The section to Burton Green has been tarmacced and beyond that it is a limestone surface. I have added all of you as contributers to the blog, i hope you received emails about being able to contribute. So i await with interest postings. We need to have another work session on the Long Itchington section, at this time of the year it will probably be for just half a day, I'll suggest some dates in the next week. we must also have a get together soon, any suggestions for a venue? Hope you allmanage to get oput on the bikes in the coming weeks, lets hope the weather is kind.

Welcome to the Blog for Warwickshire Sustrans Rangers. At present you will only be able to read the blog and not post to it, but i am adding all Warwickshire Rangers as contributors and when that is done I will let you all know and you will be able to post as well as reading all the posts. Workday Route 41 at Long Itchington Last Saturday we had our first workday for a considerable time and we had a number of new rangers join us. It was a successful day despite the showers and even a hailstorm! We were able to clear a lot of overhanging branches, cut down some of the nettles and brambles that were threatening to invade the path and fill some nasty holes. The surface is in a poor state in some places and the large amount of horse traffic has not helped as once the hard surface is broken they quickly churn up the soft earth below. We managed to put a tonne of stone into the various holes and could have probably used twice that amount. Thanks to all who came along, we will return to do more work on this section in the coming months. The local footpath group were also working on replacing some steps up the embankment where a path crosses the track and we were able to lend a hand and they returned the favour with some clearing for us.
