We had a very successful opening of the route 52 from Kenilworth to Warwick University on Friday.
:
Here are a few more photos taken on the day
If you haven't yet ridden the route do go and have a look it really is a very well built and attractive route. You can also ride out to Berkswell on the Greenway, just don't take the right turn for the university!
The section to Burton Green has been tarmacced and beyond that it is a limestone surface.
I have added all of you as contributers to the blog, i hope you received emails about being able to contribute. So i await with interest postings.
We need to have another work session on the Long Itchington section, at this time of the year it will probably be for just half a day, I'll suggest some dates in the next week.
we must also have a get together soon, any suggestions for a venue?
Hope you allmanage to get oput on the bikes in the coming weeks, lets hope the weather is kind.

Hi
ReplyDeleteWell after a great day of muddy and wet mountain biking along the routes between Ufton, Hunningham, Long Itchington and eventually joining up on the area we cleared the other week I can report that our hole filling etc has remained a worthwhile effort. There is still further clearing along from where we worked but what we did has made it so much better, it was worth being in a hail storm!
I agree we need to have a get together very soon, and maybe work out going somewhere for an Xmas meal, but I have a long commute so ideally after 7.30 in the evenings (depending on venue) or at weekends. My living room will seat about 8, and my garage will probably get another 3 bikes in there alongside all mine!, so you're all welcome to meet there in Southam if interested.
Hope to see you soon
David
